Reincarnation
Reincarnation is an anglicized word of Latin derivation, meaning reinfleshment, the coming
again into a human body of an excarnate soul. The repetitive; Reimbodiment of the
reincarnating Human Ego in vehicles of human flesh; this being a special case of the general
doctrine of Reimbodiment.
In 325AD emperor Constantine ordered the Council of Nicaea.  The Council of Nicaea was
historically significant because it was the first effort to attain consensus in the church through
an assembly representing all of Christendom. "It was the first occasion for the development of
technical Christology.   Further, "Constantine in convoking and presiding over the council
signaled a measure of imperial control over the church. With the creation of the Nicene Creed,
a precedent was established for subsequent general councils to create a statement of belief
and cannons which were intended to become guidelines for doctrinal orthodoxy and a source
of unity for the whole of Christendom.  This was when reincarnation was eliminated from the
scriptures due to contraversary oppinions.  Again it was left out in 787 A.D. by papal induction
during the second council revision.
There are eight words used in the theosophical philosophy in connection with Reimbodiment,
which are not all synonymous, although some of these eight words have almost the same
specific meaning. They are: Pre-existence, Rebirth, Reimbodiment, Palingenesis,
Metensomatosis, Transmigration, and Reincarnation. Of these eight words, four only may be
said to contain the four different basic ideas of the general doctrine of Reimbodiment, and
these four are Pre-existence, Reimbodiment, Metempsychosis, and Transmigration.
We at Church Of Divine Enlightenment do not believe in Transmigration of the soul from plant
to animal to human.  For the bible tells us that plants are made after their kind; animals are
made after their kind and only man is made in the likeness of God; each species after their
own kind.  In the Metaphysical world; each species has its own heaven and only Man has soul
evolution this is self evident. For if man was made in the likeness of God who is eternal;
therefore man must himself be an eternal part of God.
Today approximately 30 million Americans (one in four) believe in reincarnation. The word
"reincarnation" literally means to "come again in the flesh." The process of reincarnation -
continual rebirths in human bodies - allegedly continues until the soul has reached a state of
perfection and merges back with its source (God or the "Universal Soul").
One's lot in life, according to those who believe in reincarnation, is based on the law of karma.
This law says that if bad things happen in one's life, this is an outworking of bad karma. If
good things happen in one's life, this is an outworking of good karma.
"Karma" refers to the "debt" a soul accumulates because of good or bad actions committed
during one's life (or past lives). If one accumulates good karma by performing good actions,
he or she will be reincarnated in a desirable state. If one accumulates bad karma, he or she
will be reincarnated in a less desirable state. In Shirley MacLaine's book out on a Limb we are
told, "Reincarnation is like show business. You just keep doing it until you get it right."

C.O.D.E's Belief
Our spirits reincarnate many times.  Each lifetime is its own journey where
we are given different lessons. We do this to evolve along our spiritual
path.  We often reconnect with the same spirits, called soul groups.  We are
both the teacher and the student.  We are learning new lessons, or
repeating lessons from past lifetimes that we did not overcome.  This is the
evolution of the Spirit within us.  We are assigned familiar spirits to be with
us and to help guide us while we are on earth in this process; we call them
guardian angels or Spirit Guides depending on your belief.  At any time we
will have between one and three with us at all times each interacting with
different cycles in our life.   Guardian Angles are our personal link to the
spiritual realms.   We are able to interact through the Holy Spirit of God to
produce manifestations in ours and others lives with the guidance of our
guardian angles.
There is no duality in God for his loving power is a positive good.  There
could not be any negative in His realm for the powers would repel each
other and fall apart (physics).   Yet there are lower realms with negative
powers that empower many gods, but never the Great Supreme God of the
Bible (“I AM”).   These other gods try to deceive and claim their superiority
as god, by providing shortcuts and easy solutions to the metaphysical world
through the human "EGO", which many people do follow because it is
easier and designed to appeal to the ignorant.   Even if you don’t believe in
them, they believe in you. Therefore we are always on our guard to repel
these negative forces that have no power over us. The only way these
negative forces can take over us is if we give them power.  Just because
someone says they believe in a god does not necessarily mean the same
God we believe in (The God of the Holy Bible). We have discovered that the
Universe is threefold in its nature. It is Spirit, Soul and Body; Spirit as the
active, projective, masculine factor; Soul as the receptive, creative,
feminine factor; and Body, which is the result of the union of Spirit with
Soul. The Spirit impregnates the Soul with Its Ideas, and the Soul gives form
to these Ideas and clothes them with flesh. But this is the Trinity of Unity, a
Triune Oneness; for the Three is really one.
Life is Androgynous, i.e., It contains within itself both the masculine and
the feminine factors (YIN & YANG). The male and the female of Creation
come from One Principle; all come from the One and all will return to the
One; all are now in the One and will forever remain in the One.
The solution to the problem of desire is to transmute any destructive
tendency into some form of action that is constructive. However, an
intellectual form of expression alone will not do this, for only those things
to which we may give the complete self will solve the problem. Love is the
givingness of the self to the object of its adoration. We should all have
something that we love to do, something that will completely express the
self, something that will loose the energies of Life into action and
transmute the power into creative work. We should learn to love all people
and not just some people for all are God's Children.
It is very disastrous to feel that we cannot live unless we possess some one
individual, body and soul. This is not love but is an idea of possession,
which often becomes an obsession. No soul is really complete until he feels
complete within himself.
This does not exclude the great human relationships which mean so much
to all of us; but it does take the sting out of life and does free the individual
to love all, adore some, and find happiness everywhere.
To feel that love is unrequited creates a longing so intense that it tears the
very heart out of life, and throws the one so feeling into a fit of
despondency from which it is, indeed, hard to recover. This feeling is met in
the Truth by knowing that Love is eternal and real and cannot be added to
nor taken from.
This may seem like a hard teaching; but the problems of humanity deal
largely with the human relationships and until they are harmonized, there
can be no lasting happiness.
Happiness is from within, like all the other qualities of the Spirit. Within,
Man is already complete and perfect; but he needs to realize this truth.
In Jesus name Amen.
